Dana A. Guthrie is Managing Partner at Gateway Capital. Prior to her current role, she founded and managed Alchemy Angel Investors, an angel investment network focused on early-stage startups.
Raised by a single mother in inner-city St. Louis, she trained as a computer engineer, spent thirteen years at Johnson Controls, and earned two patents before turning to venture. Gateway’s thesis — backing the underestimated before the opportunity is obvious — is autobiographical.
“We aim to be the preferred investment partner to young startups by making venture capital as simple and transparent as possible.”Dana A. Guthrie
